THE BRINK is completed and seeking distribution.

Recently I reunited with some of the cast and crew to tape a commentary track. L to R, me, cowriter John Bowker, Jason Flowers, Rachel Balzer, Heather Ashley Chase and FX man Mitcheal Toles.

Our psycho-thriller, SIDEOFF, is now titled TORMENT. Now that The Brink is near completion, we're putting Torment back into active development.

See No Evil has been postponed indefinitely.

The Brink chugs along. Doug Tomooka of TNT recording has signed on to clean up and restore the dialogue soundtrack. He's the man with the golden ear that did the post sound for The Omega Diary.

Post is proceeding on The Brink. The picture is locked. Special visual fx are complete. John Coco of Swag Music Group is composing the score. Ben is working on the sound design.

We're getting our feet wet in video retail with our online video store now under construction. It's called SUBGENRE VIDEO. Check it out and remember to get all your offbeat and horror DVDs there.

The Brink wrapped photography in late January. We've started post. Expect to have a picture edit in 2.5 weeks, then it's off to the composer. I've posted pictures with more to come and will slowly catch up with those riveting diary entries. Keep up at:

The Brink is really gaining steam. Very close to locking down the key location and most of the cast is in place. Our start date is December 11. For the latest news on this exciting new project, bookmark thunderheadstudios/brink.htm. Ben will be making regular diary entries as the project progresses. It's just like being there, only you won't be!

We're back! This just in: THE BRINK has been put on the fast track for production. The sci-fi ghost picture was written by John Bowker from a story by Ben Cooper. Rachel Balzer (THE OMEGA DIARY) is slated to star. Ben hopes to have it ready for the AFM in February followed by domestic release sometime in 2003.

SIDEOFF, our star studded thriller, is currently seeking financing. More to come.

SIDEOFF UPDATE: John Saxon has joined the cast. A veteran actor of 46 years, Mr. Saxon has appeared in over 120 films including THE APPALOOSA with Marlon Brando, ENTER THE DRAGON, A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET and most recently, THE COURIER opposite SIDEOFF co-star, Mario Lopez.

EVILMAKER director John Bowker has penned BLACK MAGIC for Thunderhead Entertainment, a sexy supernatural thriller. Ben plans to direct for a 2002 release. Check out the In Development page for more info, if you dare.

Fledgling record label Tomoboom Entertainment has commissioned Thunderhead to produce a music video for Caponiac's next rap single, FIRST BORN. Their first single, DA BOMB charted at 14 on Billboard's "Hot Rap Singles". Ben hired film school buddy, Adonis Cruz, to direct and produce with Ben acting as DP and online editor.

AND THEN CAME SUMMER is now available on video and DVD. Ben edited the movie for Guardian Pictures. It has been described as "a gay after school special," not that there's anything wrong with that. Check it out at www.andthencamesummer.com

Also, AND THEN CAME SUMMER star, Jesse Petrick, has hired Ben to edit the independent western, HEATHENS, which he co-directed.

Ben has started post-production on Kai Roath's ALOHA FROM THE HIMALAYAS, a documentary that follows the Foster's Freeze Expedition to Nepal in search of the elusive Abominable Snowman. Included in the ensemble is Chris Pointius (MTV'S JACKASS). It is narrated by famed character actor Mako (CONAN, PEARL HARBOR). Ben, Robyn and Kai recently recorded the VO at Mako's California digs. He went by one name before it was cool. Ben and Kai last worked together on the cult favorite, THE SATURN AVENGER VS. THE TERROR ROBOT.

OMEGA DIARY UPDATE: We have just recovered the domestic rights to our flagship picture from distributor Spectrum Films. Ben hopes to remaster and release the movie this year for the first time ever at sell-through price. Now the untold billions of fans will have a chance to add THE OMEGA DIARY to their private library. More as it comes.

SIDEOFF UPDATE: Mario Lopez (Pacific Blue, Saved by the Bell, Eastside, Breaking the Surface: The Greg Louganis Story) has come onboard as romantic leading man Detective Sergeant Alan Kimmel! His involvement is a real coup. Check out EASTSIDE. He's awesome in it.

SIDEOFF UPDATE: Clint Howard (The Waterboy, Apollo 13, Icecream Man, Austin Powers), perhaps the most recognizable character actor of all time, has attached himself to our latest. His involvement has really validated the production and other recognizable talent have started to take a closer look.

Omega Diary star Warren G. Hall recently scored a role in Franchise Pictures latest, ZIG ZAG. The picture stars John Leguizamo, Wesley Snipes and Oliver Platt. Warren has kept busy since The Omega Diary most notably with a role in the independent comedy BABYLON VISTA, but this is his first shot in a big budget mainstream picture. The man has the stuff.
